The hatchling, a snowy-feathered little thing who she could already tell would grow into the spitting image of Hraesvelgr someday, grumbled something under his breath in dragon tongue and flitted over to try for Aymeric's food instead.
"On our way out of the city, I'm going to pick up some ingredients," she finished. "I know he can't abide a proper meal right now," and here she nodded to Aymeric, acknowledging the fasting she'd seen him have to go through with every clutch of eggs, "but at least a broth of some sort, to get his strength up."
She tapped the clean end of a chopstick against her chin in thought, looking over at Julien. "And mayhap yours as well. Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask..." The tips of her ears colored faintly pink. "This sharing of what he feels with you. Has that been happening for long?"
